Dale H., BSP

Dale Hanowski was born in Outlook, Sk. but considers the northern community of Meadow Lake his home.  He graduated with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Bachelors of Science of Pharmacy.  Since graduating in 1999, he has worked in a community setting helping his patients understand their health and improving their quality of life.  Dale is excited to join the Cheetham's pharmacy team because of the strong core values of patients' needs & health coming first and the strong ties Cheetham's has to the community.       

LaVerne C, BSP, CDE

​LaVerne Churko graduated from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan in 1983.  LaVerne has been practicing in the profession of pharmacy in the city of Saskatoon for the past 33 years.  In 2009, LaVerne became a certified Diabetes Educator. LaVerne continues to have the opportunity to educate people living with diabetes in all aspects of their diabetes care at the pharmacy level as well as within some physician’s offices.  LaVerne is  a PACT (Partnership to Assist with Cessation of Tobacco) certified pharmacist. LaVerne has completed level 1&2 prescriptive authority enabling her to prescribe interim & emergency supplies of medications as well as prescribing for minor ailments.  In 2015, LaVerne completed injection training and has participated in providing Influenza vaccine for 2015-2016 flu season.  LaVerne has a passion in working with the senior’s population within the city of Saskatoon.

Sharon G, Pharmacy Assistant 
Sharon is an internationally trained licensed pharmacist from The Philippines. She has over 10 years of experience in hospital and community pharmacy both in the Philippines and in the Middle East.  She moved to Canada last June 2009 where she studied English Language Proficiency and Canadian Background and History at Open Door Society. Sharon's passion is to serve people with care and dedication, which is the reason why she joined Cheethams team last September in 2014. Sharon has been a Pharmacy Assistant in Canada for 5 years now. Currently she is in the process of taking her examination to become a licensed pharmacist in Canada. 

Rick Cheetham, BSc., BSP

Rick was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and grew up in North Battleford. He completed his BSc. in Biochemistry in 1981, and graduated from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan in 1984. With a strong interest in business and management, Rick was soon promoted to Pharmacy Manager in one of the Pinder’s Drugs locations in Saskatoon in 1986. In 1994, Rick purchased an existing clinic pharmacy at 514 Queen St in Saskatoon, renaming it to Cheetham’s Pharmacy. With a passion for excellent customer service, Cheetham’s Pharmacy grew in clients and staff year after year to celebrating its 20th year in business with expansions in both staff and facilities. Rick is passionate about independent pharmacy, supporting the local economy, and giving back to the community. Rick believes the key to success is outstanding customer service and hiring only the best of the best.

Jenn K, Pharmacy Assistant 
Jenn joined our team in September of 2015. Jenn has been a Pharmacy Assistant since 2009. She is in the process of completing the regulated Pharmacy Technician program. She has worked in customer service and with the elderly since 1996. Jenn is a certified diabetic technician and can help clients choose the diabetic meter and supplies best suited to their needs. She is certified in gentle motion fitness and participates in smoking cessation (PACT) presentations.

Our pharmacy team is comprised of motivated and driven individuals who are friendly, efficient, charismatic, and knowledgeable. Each individual is capable of achieving the unique standards set at our pharmacy and is dedicated to continuing professional development. You can always expect friendly service and great advise from these trusted experts.

Tammi H, BSP

Tammi is a farm girl who grew up in the small community of Shaunavon, Sask.  From a young age she knew that she wanted to help people and was always drawn to the medical field.  Pharmacy was a natural choice for her.  After spending a year abroad in France, she pursued her pharmacy studies at the University of Sask in Saskatoon graduating in 1999 with great distinction.  She is a wife and mother of 2 children and has worked in community pharmacy for 15 years.   She has a passion for her profession and loves working with seniors.
